What he says is the bearing preload is not sufficient... This plays a part in gear contact and backlash etc. as far as I understand....

so you think I should not worry about it?

Sorry bionic, I have to disagree. Mal Wood says it's a bearing noise hence my comment above.

yeah that's basically the same as mine, after I let it warm up, the noise starts. aslong as its normal

How many KM's? As at my 15,000 service was told by Ford that one of the exhaust flanges (can not remember which one) needs checking as they are known to come loose.

ive got 30,000 on the clock. yeah I might take it for a check up soon, cheers
