You multiply them together and you get a torque value as a result. Clearly, a larger roller gives more torque. Think of using a screwdriver; if the handle is really thick, when you use it you are generating more torque than you would with a thinner handle. This is evident in that the decrease in effort needed to loosen a tight screw is proportional to the increase in screwdriver handle thickness.
