Ba Vibration Problems

Help my BA xr6t has started vibrating violently when in drive and reverse ,only when stationary with foot on the brakes ,and when I turn the steering wheel ,any ideas on what this could be ,all help would be thankful

Could be broken engine mounts - is the rpm dropping when the shudder starts?

Or diff bushes....

Oh, and I'll move this thread to the general technical section - not sure why you posted this in the "Intercooler Workshop"

yeah it drops revs dramaticly when I turn the wheel while stationary in drive , engine mounts was my next guess

I would say it has something to do with the power steering system or idle control - when you put the load on the steering its struggling somewhere...Best bet is to get it in to a mechanic so they can check it out for you.

Its not going to help, Its probably fair to assume since its a BA its got some runs on the board and will need engine mounts.

Has it had any work done lately that involved the front end being jacked up and the steering turned with the engine not running?

na I havnt done anything to the engine except replace all the coils and plugs , it seems like it would be the enginge mount just from the vibration as soon as I put it into drive , when driving there is only very minimal vibration
