I had a 4G63T Galant VR4 which had Rochester injectors- supplied plenty of fuel, but couldn't get it over 185kw atw on 21psi. Ended up swapping them out for some Sard injectors which had a twin spray pattern (like stock) instead of just dumping the fuel in- same tuner ending up getting 202kw at the wheels on 3 less psi.

Yeah that can happen with poor injector patterns. It makes it very hard to tune also as the AFR in the exhaust is also biased by the poor mixture.

Hey mate just read your first post again, did you do the gearbox while before or after this tune, im wondering if it is slipping and thus not getting all the power to the rears, just a thought.

nar, wouldn't be the box. That was only slipping on gear changes, that has come good now after a flash or two and some kind loving words.

I'll have it back on the dyno soon and do some troubleshooting. Starting with the exhaust, then looking at injectors and springs.

Hey Mate,

Clint was talking about your car yesterday. He will get to the bottom of it.. (Did you stay in the dyno cell when it was running? Farking like a wind tunnel in there! lol)

BTW, did you have those 20inch wheels on when it was first tuned?

Ummm, I have NFI what rims were on it as I didnt own it. I think it did have a set of 20's on it.

And yes, dyno cell reminded me a little of my Qantas days when we used to do engine runs.
