Mate as said here I would check the exhaust I would think that Clinton could tell whether the injectors are the problem while tuning it, but I could be wrong.Clinton is from what I've heard pretty swithed on with these cars,so if he thinks its the vavle springs then I would probably be inclined to go with him on it, the other thing is of course he was there and non of us were, this is why I say maybe listen to him.that's not to say that the suggestions here arn't good ones, they are, just we are all guessing he had it in front of him on a dyno.I hope what ever it is it's an easy fix.Good luck mate. 2 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81784-the-g6et-that-couldnt/page/2/#findComment-1291554 Share on other sites

I have confirmed with him though its got plenty of fuel, so its either the springs as we suspect or the cat. I am pretty sure its not the cat because its only twelve months old and clinton didn't mention it but is there a quick way I can check? We will know soon enough. I'm pricing up some springs as we speak. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81784-the-g6et-that-couldnt/page/2/#findComment-1291607 Share on other sites
jimmixr Donating Members 686 Member For: 14y 8m 7d Posted 07/09/12 12:36 PM Share Posted 07/09/12 12:36 PM valve springs would give it a rough idle after a power run.. lifters pump up then bleed down and idle settles.Id be leaning towards the cat, sounds like a blockage.. less flow through the cat would restrict your boost. But in saying that its probabaly a good idea to do the springs.. future proofs it. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81784-the-g6et-that-couldnt/page/2/#findComment-1291628 Share on other sites
matsfgxr6turbo Member 388 Member For: 15y 2m 20d Posted 07/09/12 02:51 PM Share Posted 07/09/12 02:51 PM wouldn't valve springs give it a hump in the power curve as the springs bind then unbind the curve looks nice and smooth so I would think a rooted cat is more likely?
