And what would it cost extra to get one to make it legal and all? What size is the intercooler core? What happens with the battery? 4 inch system goes where battery is, but it doesn't mention that a relocation will be needed, or if it comes with anything to remount/locate the battery. For $1399 is there a better package out there?Ta Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81765-rapidsystems-v25/ Share on other sites

Was a pretty good reply:Hi mateThe v2.5 aka Outlaw kit, is basically a stripped down v3.5 kit... Like a bang for buck set up that's makes big power but some parts that don't contribute to making power are removed from the kit, such as airbox and battery swap. Most guys that buy this kit are able to move the battery themselves, either to the tray of ute or boot, and like to run the raw open intake. We have 3 intercoolers to choose from , Street series 460x400x90 which fits in without cutting, the bigger Highflow 500x400x90, price is the same. The other cooler is made by plazmaman for us, is also 500.400.90 with plazmaman swept endtanks, add $350 for this cooler.Feel free to ask any questions mate or callSo, how hard is it to relocate a battery by yourself? And, could any metal place machine up a box for the airbox? I'd leave it open, but don't really want to get pulled for it (although I think just be relocating and changing the air intake anyways it's yellow stickerable?) I had one on the R-Spec and it was great. Battery and air filter were in the airbox. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81765-rapidsystems-v25/#findComment-1290001 Share on other sites

Trying to keep debt as low as possible as I have a fair bit of it still anyways lol.Yeah that would be good GTE.What other options are there between $1500-$2000 for full kit, with turbo side intake and battery relo if needed?Don't want an under battery intake either as apparently they are balls and risky (otherwise I'd get the V1.0 kit from rapid with an under battery for less than 1500)I could get the 2.5 kit and get this:http://www.tuspeed.com/process-west-xr6-turbo-battery-relocation-kit-p-1463.htmlThen just another 195 for the airbox or if GTE's works out better to just get that made up. Unless you go in deep water, which would get into the stock airbox too, so I wouldn't worry about it. So a intake where your battery is would be much better then the under water intake 2 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81765-rapidsystems-v25/#findComment-1290039 Share on other sites

Especially compared to the current stock intake system. He has a point though where as long as I have all the stock shields in place, nothing -should- get into it. How many people are using an under battery intake on here I wonder?Did you do the battery relocation yourself Kosij? And where did you get the custom intake from?
