First impressions were that it was pretty much the exact same car as the last, with only a couple of minor changes- not all of them improvements.Firstly the ICC- there's no denying that the touch screen looks fantastic. I was a little disappointed in how slow the actual system reacts though. The menu is confusing, and the last of adjustment settings before the screen times out is frustrating. The reverse camera isn't as clear or fluid as the one on the 50th. I'm not sure if the system needs to be flashed/updated or something, but I'll be sure to raise with with Fraud when it's due for its 3k "service" check. I'm also having issues with the bluetooth which will hopefully get sorted. The alarm (stock on the MK2 I think) kept going off after shut down so I have disabled it. Another issue that Fraud can hopefully sort out. There's a couple of other things as well- like the check speed for cruise control is not as good as the 50th- neither is the font on the cluster itself. Only minor really. I still can't believe that they have a boot unlock button on the remote that doesn't even open the boot. It's about as useful as the push button start on the FPV's!!The front end is definitely growing on me. The LED driving lights are pretty cool. Will need some HID's to match (suggestions welcome). The ZF is even smoother than the last- which is still one of my favourite part of this car.It didn't take long before I started doing my thing- so far I've installed the growler off my 50th, a custom front glare strip on the windscreen, a set of King Springs and a set of MK2 XR6 19's on the factory rubber. (I have my mint set of stockies that have done under 800km for sale if anyone's interested). Next on the cards is to install a Defi BF boost gauge which will match the cluster perfectly along with some tints and an XR8 bonnet.Enough blabble though, here's a few pics (excuse the couple of it dirty)Enjoy,CLuTZ

I saw your signature earlier and wondered what happened to the 50th, sad to hea it is good but this looks like a nice replacement! I was waiting to see these wheels on a g6, they look really good! How much do you want for the g6e rims?

The black is definitely growing on me... even though the dust shows after 30mins after washing.....! I'm after $1200 for the wheels- let me know if you know someone who is keen. They're in mint condition...!I forgot to add that I have a RapidSystems intake resonator delete on its way too...Can anyone tell me why I can't edit my first post?? Should be 'lack of adjustments' not last Edited 03/09/12 11:55 AM by CLuTZ

The timeout can be frustrating if you're trying to change things while driving, its not a problem when stopped though. As for the Reverse Camera, it seems fine to me but again, I never used the previous models.I also have the ICC issues, firstly that contact details don't show on the screen and second the iPod has issues if its left plugged in and you turn the car off and on again, it chucks a hissy and reverts to Bluetooth for the music. I haven't had any problems with the alarm, its working fine. What's the speed check for the cruise control? I find the font is fine, but again I never saw the old font. With the boot unlock button, you do know you need to press it twice to unlock the boot seperate to the doors? I'm yet to get HID's as well but I will be getting some in the future. I was going to PM you about some of these things to see if it was normal.Firstly the menu- there's 3 main tabs: Audio, Settings and Phone. Personally I think this could have been extended to 5- with less sutff in the sub-sections. Having a menu on the cluster and a menu on the ICC is strange too. You'd think they'd combine it together. The time out is a royal pain in the ass! From memory in the FG1 you could control the screen time out time.I can get my contacts to show no problem on my phone (something I couldn't do on the FG1) although I haven't been using much of the bluetooth as I am having issues with it connecting everytime I hop in and out. It also tries to play music via bluetooth too- which is annoying.I wanted to edit my first post- I meant to say "speed set" for the cruise control. The FG1 had a small font down the bottom which was easy to keep an eye on. Now it's a massive font in the main part of the screen which is taking some getting used to.Just ordered some white on black number plates- will suit the car a lot better than the blue on white! Also picked up one of these bad boys- for any other maggots who want to hit and run! http://tinyurl.com/cft8wru

I do not want to take it to Ford until I can tell them what I want done (I am in Canberra and have three choices... John McGrath, John McGrath or John McGrath!).Luckily I bought it for the Boss and it only has 4k on it in as many months so I still have a bit of time before I have to find somewhere to take it.Does anyone know a good Ford dealership near Canberra?

I think the duplication is there because they've slowly been changing from old fashioned buttons to touch interfaces. I imagine the next model will put more of the interaction on the touch screen and remove some of the buttons. I'm guessing that's actually cheaper having to do less cutting on the ICC plastic. What phone do you have? I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 5 and it has been playing up.
