As a stock line RDA Brakes doesn't have silver plated discs , we have just normal standard silver raw machined cast iron finish , not to say may-be some of our distributors don't plate . Gold plating resists surface rust where raw in a non wearing area will start to attract surface rust . Surface rust isn't issue in anyway other than some find it an eye sore . Our silver straight slotted range only come straight slotted But gold plated come curved and dimpled . Again main difference is cosmetic , one looks better than other .
