Can anyone recommend a rear spring for my FG for circuit use.

I have used Kings but the spring rate was a bit too low.

Have been using Lovells on the back with a spring rate closer to 400.

(Front have custom made Koni Coilovers with 650lb springs)

Rear Lovells have sagged a bit and the car is scraping on my driveway or any speed bumps.

Rear shocks are revalved/high flow Koni reds.

Any recommendations?

Why not go the Tein springs. What damper are you using on the back? Can it be re-valved to suit the rate. Not truly sure but Teins are close to twice that weight so you might need to find out if your damper can handle that rate without getting too hot. Or go the whole rear Tein set up.

It is stiff. A bit too solid over speed bumps. Like I can sit on the boot edge and the car does not move at all. I am 80kg. Once your doing 80 it's better than std.

In saying that I should say it never steps out or slaps expansion joints in the road.

I've had stiff where they feel like they step a bit on a small ripple and it's nothing like that.

Going with the Teins gives you a little high adjustment to play with too.

How old are your kings? I'm pretty sure they re-did the spring rates in the FG springs at some point

Sold my Kings years ago.

The Lovells have been in the back for a long time though but they are far stiffer than the Kings ever were.

As stated in the original post. My rear shock are revalved/high flowed Koni's offer superior damping to off the shelf Teins.

The Linear rate Lovells I currently have are approx 400lb spring rate which is a very high spring rate for a rear.

I believe King make a Motorsport only coil, but it may be too harsh for road use.

I know the Teins come in the Street and Sport Spring rates, so maybe the Sport version Spring could be the go.

What is the rear spring rate of the stiffer Sport teins?

Have just found out the rear Spring rates of the Tein Performance Springs are 436lb.

This could be perfect!

Where would you recommend getting a good price on spares?

I would adapt the rear suspension platforms and perches to 2.5" ID motorsport springs. Then use Eibach or Hyperco springs off the shelf.

You have 2.5" springs on the front with 12kg/mm ? Nice and firm !

Details on the front here.

I like the idea of Eibachs but when I tried buying some a while back they were only sold in front and rear sets.

Where do you recommend purchasing these Motorsport or Eibach rear springs and do the Teins need a platform adjustment too?

The difficult part would be sourcing adapters for the upper and lower spring seats (perches). Companies such as Vorshlag make adapters but obviously are USA focused. They do make a kit for the 2011 Mustang - perhaps you could see if the perches are the same???

The spring are easy to purchase. Just measure the right length and order your desired rate. I purchased Hyperco springs for my Skyline and they were $55 each ($110/pair) for 10" length 275lb/inch + shipping. (Vorshlag appear to be a rip-off for springs !)
