It could be a heater hose or clamp not tight enough, judging from the coolant level drop.....if it is a coolant colour (green). On a hot day with your air con running, it is normal to see a bit of clear water (condensation), drip from around this area, but not if coolant level is falling. It's further back than the entire engine bay!!Cheers,Simon....

Guest Guests Posted 28/12/03 10:29 PM Share Posted 28/12/03 10:29 PM Could be running down a hose or pipe line to look so far back, bet ya its the water pump O ring like mine was. Squeeling brakes... get used to it mate.vik
Lightning Member 335 Member For: 22y 1m 23d Location: Perth, Western Australia Posted 28/12/03 11:36 PM Author Share Posted 28/12/03 11:36 PM Judging by the fact that the coolant level is down to just below the half way mark again, after I put in almost a litre on Monday last, I think it's probably as has been suggested, the infamous water pump O-ring.I'll book it in today.BTW: VIK351, I have got used to it, doesn't mean I've got to let the dealer / Ford off so easily, do I? :-)Thanks guys,Simon.... Then a week later I spied wet spots on the oil cooler, again to the dealer where a leak was discovered and resolved.
