Caller phone number does show on mine so not sure about that problem or screen blanking out prob???? Make sure on your ipod you select Ford Audio for bluetooth or Dock if its plugged in to the USB port. Also make sure for dock ipod volume is on minimum and bluetooth it's on maximum. I too had the same prob. Hope you've solved it by now. Any updates on the other two issues from Ford. Hope this helps. BTW made that sub polarity switch that guys here have been talking about and yes it did make a big difference. That's if you have premium sound installed. Cleaner sounding system, tighter bass, more bass. Best 10 mins I've spent in the boot!!!

Voice dialing isn't supported unless you have an iphone 4 or newer. Mine doesn't come up with the caller id on my 3GS. Otherwise I've had no issues with bluetooth.I have had issues playing music off a usb drive though. Sometimes it just "breaks". Can't open the file browsing menu, if I switch to FM radio, then I can no longer get to any of the media key features (Aux in, BT, USB, etc). Can't change from FM. Can't turn the stereo off! Volume and FM presets etc still work though. Turning the car off and opening the door (to turn off the stereo) and then starting it again fixes it. Bit of a pain as you can't do this while driving! Not sure if its a particular mp3 files causing it, the fact its a USB3.0 drive, or just dodgy ICC software. It's probably still running the software version it came with when build in Feb The only thing I have to complain about is: the lack of subwoofer. Didn't care for the premium audio as I'll probably get a proper system installed sometime. Also, anything on the left hand side of the screen is a bit of a reach when driving. Does anyone know what size speakers are in the FG? And the mkII has the tweeters in the A-pillars now on the standard audio option. Is this run off an external crossover or connected directly to the ICC? Will have to do a good search based on the premium option in the mk1 before I muck around changing speakers

I find that the iphone does this when you somehow trigger the blue tooth in it again, either by switching thru media or not pausing music.... I think. Use to happen to me and once I started plugging it before starting works a treat.

Techs dont normally start til 8 anyway at most places. June 2012 wont have the new firmware I believe and the update takes over an hour. Why is it unacceptable to leave it with them for a day? At least then they arent rushing trying to accomodate u Giving them an unrealistic time frame. Give them a chance mate before you go in and make a fool of yourself.I'm sort of used to Apple's Warranty and customer service and I expect the same from all manufacturers now They probably all hate me, I spent an hour in store to get a like-for-like replacement TV while ours was being repaired under warranty. I realise my expectations are above what many companies are used to offering though.I ended up getting time off work, so I left it for a whole day. The issue with the iPod not working after turning off and restarting the car is as described below, it's where the iPhone sees the latest connection is Bluetooth and connects to it instead.Had my Fg mkII for a week now and slowly working it out. Caller phone number does show on mine so not sure about that problem or screen blanking out prob???? Ford told me "The iPhone 4 used to work but doesn't work but the latest iOS is incompatible". In any case, if it was working and now doesn't then I see it as a Ford Warranty issue. It would be like Dell or Lenovo saying 'Oh, you installed Service Pack 1 on Windows 7, sorry we don't support you anymore'.The problem with the ipod playing with no sound is with the ipod/iphone - it keeps switching which source it is playing thru ; so while you think your playing thru usb, it plays thru bluetooth, and you have to switch it back to make it wrk. It's sort of logical I guess, if you connect to Bluetooth after the dock then the phone assumes you want to use it. Normally you would, except in a car...Plug in USB cable before you start the car and all should be sweet. Use to happen to me and once I started plugging it before starting works a treat.I only have the issue if it's connected to both and the car is restarted, it seems to keep the dock connection during startup but the bluetooth is lost and reconnected. I tried with my Dad's iPhone 4S running iOS 5.1.1 and it doesn't give me Caller ID either (on Telstra). The Ford Manual says Caller ID may not work if the carrier does not support it but it is activated on both of these phones so it's not the carrier and it doesn't work on two different phones running two different iOS versions. Deduction tells you it's the ICC not playing nice.
AussieCJ7 Member 67 Member For: 16y 4m 6d Posted 19/09/12 11:10 PM Author Share Posted 19/09/12 11:10 PM Bit of an update the biggest issue was the screen blanking out it started to get worse and screen would not wake up even though rest seemed to be responding to inputs like volume or change source between media and fm etcit seemed to get worse when sun was directly on the dash and heated it up like sitting in a open car park all afternoon but got better when cooled down and also seemed to change with speed bumps my best guess is a dry solder joint on one of the circuit cards, anyway after 2 trips back to ford they are now replacing the whole unit just waiting on parts to arrive, fingers crossed that resolves the issueas far audio through cable or bluetooth that's exactly what is going on and ultimately is just an annoyance but while it is easy to argue its Apples fault, some other audio devices seem to have less of an issue with this so it seems to me the way ford have implemented the cable and the way apple detects it is not 100% prob both to blame we will see what happens once the new ICC is installedwe also had it idle funny the other day and check engine light flash turned it off and back on fault was gone ford run the diag's and they beleive its related to the ICC problem ???? not sure I see the linkage there but will watch and see
