I have to say that Brad was extremely patient with us with the mods this time, when he decided to go E85 we agreed the only way to do it was to do it with correct data. Rather than just look for a final power number, both Brad and myself agreed we wanted hard data to know what was going on. This caused some delays with proceedings.

Rather then relying on the test tube method to test the ethanol content of the fuel, we fitted the Zeitronix Ethanol Guage in the car, this shows exactly what the fuel system is using rather than a ethanol content reading before it makes it into the tank.

Second part of the equation was we wanted to know whether the single 044 would support the power we were chasing and as we had already placed an order with Mainline for a fuel pressure and flow module upgrade for the dyno, Brad was patient enough to wait for it to be installed. This blew out the time a little as we had mainline fit an ethanol gauge as part of the package so we can record the % reading during a run.

To cut a long story short, the module arrived and was fitted, we ran the car up and found the fuel pump unable to keep up, there was a little doubt about the output of the pump initially as it was second hand, but the dyno data proved it was running out of fuel.

We then had another delay in getting the A1000 pump and then making a bracket to fit it and getting the check valve and fittings required to plumb it.

Turned out Brad got the car back the last day before he had to head off for work.

As I said Brad was very patient and I to him apologise for taking so long this time around, but I did not want to push it out the door just making a dyno number we wanted facts to know exactly what was going on, not half do something

This is why I went the A1000, sure I could have risked it and went a single 044 as plenty of others have but wanted that extra safety margin.

Mick, the extent you go to to further your own knowledge which can only help your customers is truly remarkable.

Awesome on many levels. It's pleasing to see actual fact / data has driven the decisions and both parties are very satisfied. Big high five from me for ratter's approach.
