I had an annoying squeek and it was beause the tail gate moves slightly up and down and the latches rub. Took the tail gate completely off and put it straight back on and that fixed it.

I just fixed this issue on my ba Ute, I thought it may be the wheel bearings/axles as my wheel bearings are on their way out but had also just replaced my rotors and pads, thought it could be the handbrake clip but it wasn’t, started to lose hope and look for axles but as I removed a pad from the calliper, I heard the exact squeak noise that the Ute would make over light/medium/heavy bumps and go away when the brakes were applied. So I put a touch of rubber grease on every surface point from the pad to the calliper and the noise is now completely gone, I suggest you also try this before replacing axles as it’s half the job and such a simple thing to do. I will post again if it comes back.
