if you have a hardlid start there. My ute had a squeak and thought it was the leafs or bushes but ended up being the hardlid not being held down tight enough and was slightly moving around. little adjustment on the latch points and shes all good :sungum:

You ALL have bent axles!

The sound your hearing is the brake pad rubbing on the disc because the axle is out of alignment...... Too much wheel spin gives off diff tramp which slightly bends axles... even a big pot hole will do it

Sometimes they break, which makes them vibrate when going over bumps which is the noise you hear.

Replacing them stops them vibrating as they're pushing properly against the inner wall

My question was a sarcastic one lol. If it were bent axles I would still be annoyed right now.

You may have reset the pads, which in the short term might stop the squeak. IT will be back!

When the diff is under load or going around a corner that puts the most strain on the axles.

Ive had axles replaced and only to find it happening again after a bit of sideways action.
