Purchased BF Phoon

As already said all options and some. Demo with less than 3k on the clock. $56 drive away

Line that up with a spanking new T at the time.

Value and relativities have not changed

I think we're all almost arguing the same point.

FPV's brand new are a waste of money in terms of what you get, and how they depreciate.

XR6T's are better brand new in terms of value and what you'd get when spending the same amount as a brand new FPV

FPV's second hand are good value as they're the same, if not cheaper than an XR6T brand new - you just have a couple of kms on the clock.

Now it probably comes down to "second hand F6 - 46k vs second hand xr6t - 25-30k. could again spend 15-20k on the second hand xr6t and get more out of it" lol

Nah still would of went down the rd of an F6 lol why build up an XR6 to hope it was an F6 lol just joking lol

As I said before, different strokes for different blokes. Myself personally I'm over the boy racer image and prefer the ride comfort and discreteness afforded by a gramps-spec.

I couldn't handle driving an FPV every day with all the fckwit bogans that it attracts. (I.e. in terms of your typical chev neanderthal that feels he has to prove himself)

But I don't think anyone in their right mind could say that FPV have achieved their full potential...hopefully Ford do a better job of it - can't really do any worse.

Well said I would of purchased GE6 prior XR6 and if I could go one step above an F6 and on the other side I was looking for F6E I had no chance of buying F6E in manual not even sure if they came in manual

And as you said different strokes for different fokes

I'm not sure how much better FPV could of made an F6 if you look around at other tuners and what they have and there cost for $56000 what more do we expect it's cheaper then a focus RS a Renault Megan on the money of a SS cheaper and quicker then a club sport Maloo ute so for $56000 what more do we expect it would be great if it where $35999 on road but that's just crazy talk

The F6 is probably the best thing they've come up with, but there is more to FPV than the F6. You seem fixated on the F6 which is probably why everyone is arguing the point with you.

FPV has mostly been about changing cosmetic things and adding a few badges, then wondering why nothing was selling. The F6 gave them the easy ride as it was such a magnificent foundation, look at the V8s though and that's a completely different story.

They floundered for years and only relatively recently got some momentum by introducing the Coyote engine and enforcing a monopoly on the V8 by scrapping the XR8, so now if you want a V8 Ford it can only be purchased with an FPV badge on it. Without that they'd still be selling sweet fck all.

There's a HUGE benefit, where forgetting they go better they stop better they handle better they look better

That's confirmed and your welcome

Hmmm you should of bought a Ferrari. They look better, go better, brake better and handle better.

Don't think I have ever seen such brand snobbery here before. I personally chose to save my 20 grand so bought the ford.

PS do you want to match your goes better against my goes better?

I see your point but again $64000 for a GT a supercharged car isn't so bad is it

I think you nailed it David as it backs up what I was saying :) The only reason FPV snobs don't like the prospect of introducing more range is they're already weak at the knees after looking at redbook. Get over it - you're gunna get smashed! Now, if Ford get smart and introduce some limited runs (like Expensive Daewoo with Redline) or, at least give people for example the option to add brembos, at a reasonable cost, maybe they might pinch some of that market. If Expensive Daewoo can do it, why can't Ford? IMO, that's what this move back should seriously look at.
