So back to post #8...

What did they actually really do anyway? Design different shaped plastic bumpers?

Fckn bingo. :brightidea: Bumper changes are the limitation of exterior design, interior is a different dash background, replace the tissue box holder with a start button & whack in different seats. All of which would be done on the Ford production line. Yep that really justifies an entirely separate entity.

Hence my point that "FPV" closing down will make two tents of fck all difference.

On the money Ralph. Love that some still think fpv's are magical hand built beasts, that have to unfortunately share the 'donor' taxi body from ford - eeeww! Got heaps of fpv snobs at my car club. They don't look twice at my car but then again, most can't catch it either :)

I honestly think this could be a good move. Now that exclusiveness is essentially gone, I'd really like to see some more range options like Expensive Daewoo does with its redline series. The FPV purists will agrue that this would trash the F6, GT and GTP models and I get that argument. However, the FG 'aint moving enough units - period. What I'm talking about is giving the GS a factory brembo option and like I said earlier, perhaps the rebirth of the Force6. In simple terms, start using the parts bin and get a bit creative.

Theres got to be a lot of differences between the XR6 and the F6 Im certian of it, because I could of bought a brand new XR6 when I was looking for an F6 there a huge difference between XR6 and GE6

all you owners of XR6's you F6 haters lol

can some one please list the differences for once and for all?

when you buy a redline commoredore, it still isnt a HSV I looked at a redline Bogan special a while ago and NO it wasnt a HSV and when you start mixing and matching it becomes less exclusive sorry XR6 owners

if you where concerned about the future of FPV you should of bought one lol

And, didn't say redline was HSV. A mate has a GXP ute. That is a HSV, albeit a povo one. No batwing body kit like the Maloo; redline brembos, not HSV premium and an old version of 19's - not 20's. However, it still has the vented bonnet, daytime runners the 6.2L donk and HSV box. At under 50k, it was a steal. Did it hurt maloo for a while? Maybe. Did they still sell them? Yes. The point is, Expensive Daewoo can do stuff like this to give more buyer options and so should Ford.

Wenier, no actually you probably dont here much about it, but I can tell you there are cars being stolen while they are been filled, or as someone has already said valueables taken and then they run off.Im not saying this is something you or maybe any of us would do, but im telling you it happens.

Fpvf6 yes actually im happy with my car other than this.

TAB I've noticed that in alot of the post on this forum as a mod. you seem to get involved in very childish banter, normally with Dillz, sometimes I see your point sometimes I dont, mate you need to take a chill pill I was only responding to something that bomber wrote in what he would like, I just added to the wish list, no one mentioned anything about the auto windows up and down leading to cars being stolen from petrol stations keep up ffs it was the no locking or locking fuel flap that I was talking about.

Anyway everyone has different likes and dislikes this is just what I would like. If we have this many different likes and dislikes imagine how the car companies feel trying to pls everyone.

Bottom line is I still love my car and would choose it over any other car out there in its price range.

Boomer I could of bought a brand new XR6 mate IMO it's not an F6

yeah there maybe a price difference of about 20 but go get a XR6 set of Brembos 19inch rims a body kit nicer seats and there is your 20 anything else is a bonus

I didint want to buy a XR6 and regretted not buy a F6

As far as depreciation in percentage an XR6 will plummet hell of a lot quicker there plenty of them out there

Iv been thru fpv front to back, as far as hand built goes, the fpv side of things are exactly that, a tech is assigned to a job in their bay, they hand fit te bodykit, seats and interior badges etc, engine is fitted on production line etc but the rest is done by one technician. Then the car goes off to their booth to be sprayed with datadots. They do great work down there and its a credit to their techs. As far as r&d go yes they do their own, they use fords proving grounds. The v8 engines are built accross the road from fpv on a high tech assembly line as you would see in any other euro company. The miamis are built from the ground up, no crate engines.
