macca2042 Donating Members 150 Member For: 15y 4m 4d Gender: Male Location: Yarrawonga Posted 27/08/12 10:27 AM Share Posted 27/08/12 10:27 AM so have my headunit, went the alpine ida-x305s, gonna run a LLC to use the ICC as a aux input but also lookin at a 5 channel amp with full speakers and a sub down the track but for now was thinkin about how to hook up the factory speakers to the headunit. was considering running new cable from the HU to the speakers and retain the factory wiring from the ICC but thought it may have noise.due to both using the same speakers..any thoughts?? Run that straight into your new headunit using and RCA to 3.5mm converter and put it in the aux channel of your headunit (if it has one!!) Then you are free to use the old speaker wire that is already run for your new headunit, or run even new stuff if you feel that way inclined....although I would suggest that you run the new speaker wire when you get your new amp...
