Hey guys,

anyone know if there are aerial speed checks along the nullarbor? Ive been told by people there were many years ago. Ive also read they have them in NSW, but what about the nullarbor?

Im not looking to break any land speed records but Id like to not worry sitting on 130 for the journey.

Any one know?

Cheers

Dave

There are signs on the M4 in Sydney's west claiming aerial speed enforcement.

Never seen it in operation in all the years I've driven on it day in day out.

Not sure if it's the same deal there

They do it on the stretch of Highway from Canberra to Sydney. I've only seen it once but not sure how much it gets done! Its one of those things, all they have to do is make people aware that it can happen and that'll scare most people. If theres signs that say aerial speed enforced here blah blah blah then I guess just run the risk if you don't mind coping a fine if you get one

Would cost 4-6k an hour to keep the chopper in the air. I reckon they do it very rarely just for scare tactics.
