My '06 turbo territory has had a wee few dramas lately after it got a bit wet

Seeminlgy last issue is the ZF being permanently in "limp home" mode

It has the fault code P6761 identified simply as "transmission control" when Fords scan tool was hooked up to it yesterday

Can anyone shed any light on P6761 ?

thanks

Deff P6761

Auto electrician today informed me that theres a buzzing coming from the ZF which is why the battery went flat overnight.

Going to take it to "M1 automatics" soon for him to run some tests glycol test etc he also reckons he can eliminate or identify the gearbox as being the culprit against external wiring etc etc

Depressed much

Just because there is power to the box doesn't mean the TCM inside is switched on.....

How is he diagnosing it?
