Hey guys, tried to do a search but no one seems to have had the same problem (or that I can find).

I have an 08 FG XR6T with 80,000kms and I'v owned it for about a month now. I have my sh*tty Maxxis tyres on the rear so when I give it a boot (generally from a rolling start) I get a heap of wheel spin so all normal there, but the issue is when I back off the gearbox shifts up but it really clunks into gear! At first I wasn't concerned, I figured it was just the gearbox trying to shift quickly to try and avoid any slipping on the shift but thought I'd better check just to be on the safe side.

I don't give the car a boot when below a quarter on the temp gauge so the cars always warm when I give it some.

Does this sound normal?

By the way its only stock power wise

Thanks!

I also get a big clunk when on WOT and stepping off the power really fast, usually higher up in RPMs.

Have brand new diff bush :)

Yet to replace control blade bushes though, could it be that? Or general factory spec drive line slackness...

Try the big rubber couplers on the tailshaft for driveline slack, I've heard people reducing shunt after replacing these rubber donuts...

I have brand new control blade bushes in my car so shouldn't be that.

As for my diff bushes, I had Ford, Pedders and another mechanic look at them and all 3 said they're still fine (I realise they probably arent A1 but not shagged out)

Is this an aftermarket part Senna? I had a quick look on ebay (had no idea what the part was before you mentioned it) and only seems to be genuine ones for sale.

Are there any problems with this shunt or is it something you can live with?
