My pan already has magnets in it? I gave them a clean ect and didn't think anything more would be necessary...

The magnets in the box are not as strong as the filter mag so would not be catching all the metal particles floating around.

The mainlube magnets are earth magnets and stupid strong. Put one on a pole you will not be able to get it off.

I assume you attach them to the inside of the pan where the current magnets sit.

I watched a YouTube on the engine oil kind and they stick to the outside of the oil filter, I know there's no room inside in the engine oil filter application but just wondering if vevas intention is inside or outside... I'm intrigued.

Did you click on the link?, the transmission filters stick to the outer side of your tranny pan (unless it's plastic).

It will rip from your hands when close enough so be carefull, once on you can only remove it by sliding it over and off the edge.

The ones for the engine oil filters are also placed on the outside, they cover just under half of the filter, you can use 1 or 2 for more protection.

Yea I clicked link and I assumed outside but It would be cool if we could rig something up inside to replace the stock magnets...

You don't need any on the inside, these magnet are very strong, go to filtermags website and see the inside of an oil filter that's been cut in half.

Very impressive and scary at the same time.
