1600dave Donating Members 872 Member For: 13y 10m 13d Posted 28/08/12 02:21 AM Share Posted 28/08/12 02:21 AM I only drive in manual mode now as I dont want any violent kickdowns that may cause snappage of the input shaft. Is there something done in the tune to prevent this happening, or kickdown switch disconnected? As I'm pretty sure in mine, if in manual at say 100kmh, if I put it all the way to the floor it'll still drop back to 3rd still. discostig Manual mode ________________________ All day, erryday Donating Members 13,798 Member For: 16y 11m 29d Gender: Male Location: Probably above atmospheric pressure Posted 28/08/12 04:16 AM Share Posted 28/08/12 04:16 AM (edited) It is programmed to drop down regardless of mode if you plant the foot, as it could be an emergency situation. Manual mode included!I love the drop to second at 80km/h (manual mode)...tops out about 110 I think from memory but shift at 100 to 3rd for me. Mind you the oil had only been in there for not even 6 months. Scary stuff! I'm using mainlube oil now in the box and I think for motor and diff soon as well.
