Sam- the bf goes so strong and I'm hoping ford were on the money...bjc- looks like I'm gonna get a 19" spare. Rednose - the new tyres go on this Saturday but to satisfy my curiousity I'm getting the valve stem done on my old 19" to see if it fixes the shift problem tomorrow morning and all I do Is highway driving so I'll give it a good test....although this Happens on general driving not WOT

Update: got the valve stem done this morning, so now running 19's all round. Without removing the battery or do doing anything special I took it on the hume and we are GOLDEN!!!!!! no gearbox issue, it was the sensor that tells the car that its running on an angle and it wouldn't upshift above third whilst in Drive, has made my morning..who would have thought running mismatched tyre sizes on the same axel can cause such grief

It comes down to the smarts of the mechatrronic so awesome result for you.

They really are a great box if serviced and treated correctly but for the guys that are making over 400 rwkw they know that eventually they will break things and need to make them stronger.

Listen to change at the 10sec mark. It is now a lot worse and has an even longer, high rev duration period before selection 4th.

Where do I get this fixed in Sydney and how much approx?

Car has 350rwkw and a lot of torque on the small FG turbo and e85.

The 2 places I would go to are Dominello or CMS, Dominello.

There is also BTA but the prices I got from a customer last week at WSID were $8500 (billet input shaft) and $12000 (billet input and intermediate shaft), they may be stronger but overkill for your application

Joe at CMS has done a few now and is very capable with theses boxes.

Final price would come down to the shafts you use as there are different treated shafts and also billet versions.

My advice would be to ring all 3 and go from there

Just read this thread...as I read that a different sized wheel was used on front left, I thought to myself, 'there's the problem'. Same thing happened to another bloke on here couple of year's back.

Vevapower, interesting place for the transcooler. Had thought about moving mine there but was worried about damage due to stones etc...
