Any Ford dealer should honour the warranty. Try again somewhere else closer?

Hey Mate,

Exactly the same problem for me with my FG xr6T

Have had it for about 1 month, Also get the clunk when starting the car and driving away.

There is NO WAY its the diff bushes, it is definately coming from the front/engine bay area. Only does it once, drive off slow after about 10-15 mtrs slow or fast it goes... "Clunk"

If it was an ABS self test then everycar would do it no?

Im gonna pop down to ford and leave it with them to work out under warrenty. I can tell you though. I will be getting a full 3rd party written inspection before it goes out of warrenty!

So, UWNTM3.. I feel your concern. I will re-post here after being to Ford.

Erm, every FG should do it. Mine does. And every other one I have been in does too.

My G6ET does the same thing. Doesnt matter if I reverse or drive forward from taking off.

Only problem is ive had my car lowered on coil overs, so it may be diff bushes.

I was told it should be fine by my mechanic and its normal, but im like the rest of you, still not sure :/

My fg is making the same clunk noise when taking off, doesn't matter how long I drive under 15kmh as soon as I go over "clunk". Doesn't happen again once moving unless I let the car sit for half a hour. Also put in my ssl and sssl and new shocks in on the weekend, I checked most things while at it but couldn't see anything

Clunk in rear sounds like diff bushes, I had my BF done when I got the car. Sweet as now, if you find out that it is diff bushes get the super pro comfort spec bushes they seem to last alot longer then factory bushes and dont have the noise of solid urethane ones.

Also, mine does the half a dozen tap things when I start the car too... Thought it might have been something to do with the ABS.
