Euro 4 cars need a SCT software update which was released a couple of years ago, if your tuner is talking to CAPA, he is talking to the wrong people, unless he is just using CAPA generic tunes which is what some shops will do.

The software update sounds a bit more along the lines of what he was on about but I was half asleep due to working nightshirt last night... Hopefully will know more in detail tomorrow...

ok where do I start... (correct me if im wrong with any of this as I dont have a great deal of knowledge of tuning nor turbo's) first of all my ute was being tuned by jason from southern motorworks in albion park rail. I was wrong and it is herrod who supplied the sct flash tuner and the tuning software... Apparently the basline tune was only finished yesterday by herrod for this model, this tune being the one that a tuner can work with to adjust certain things in the car. My car was the guinie pig and there were faults in the software where later herrod had to go over and change some codes (from my understanding)... Huge headache for jason but after a few hours and many phone calls later evrything worked successfully leaving an outcome of 305rwkw, and I have to say I am stoked with that...

Best thread I have seen due to the fact I just ordered a mk2.

the guys up here in Darwin seem pretty switched on and it will be another 8 months until I even look at a tune ( on advice from Henz) as they have not even started the build yet.

hopefully all is sorted by then and there are products out there.

Just wondering though are you guys referring to like flash tuners or actual tuning on the dyno?

Cheers for all this info mate, I gave a few people the heads up about the airbox dramas when I did mine a few months ago, but the intercooler and tuning will be next on my list to. Im looking at the PWR stepped, will be interesting to see how it fits. CHE is my tuner so im sure they are up to date with tuning software as ive seen a fair few MKII's on their FB page so far.
