I've got almost the entire amount in my savings ready to pay off the credit card balance, so by the time I get paid on the 15th of this month I'll have enough to pay off the credit card balance in full and a few grand savings but NO DEBT AT ALL!!! Not to mention that means I can let my employer know I don't have HECS anymore, so it'll feel like getting a payrise too, bonus!I did also get a 1% payrise yesterday...definitely not a NHASP payrise, but it's better than a kick in the teeth I guess. Essentially I'll now have an extra $1,100 savings per month towards a house deposit. So by the time my lease is up in Feb I should easily be able to buy my own place if my current housemates decide to move on. If they decide to stay, then bonus coz it'd give me another year of hardcore savings with cheap rent!
