I ran VE 40 profile on my 19s on my FG on the rear..

Just a little more tyre to aid in less stretch

Will be running 245/45/17 & 275/40/17 on the wagon once they land in Perth.

Wider obscure sidewall profiles are always ex east generally

Defiantly keen to run a bit more tyre I just wonder whether insurance and DOT will be ohmos about it coz its not within the factory specs. Which is ridiculous given there would be no actual problem running that profile...just that fact that the overall diameter is probably going to end up greater than factory..

I need to somehow pull a switcheroo and convince you my XR is your Phoon for the weekend, hahaha

Easy way to do that, put green colored notes on the front seat

I've also noticed my wider rears are always a smaller profile like 35 front and 30 rear, why is that? Is it coz the extra width actually makes the tyre taller?

Yep - remember that the profile number is a ratio against the width, so as the tyre gets wider, the actual "height" of the profile gets bigger even though the number (40 etc) stays the same.

PS nah I feel bad about taking Ralph's time (even though I do pay him), I hate giving up my precious personal free time as well so I know the feeling. He's a busy family man and undercover hoon! Would rather see him out on cruises more :P

Oh and yeah Rab I run staggered F6 18" stockies, so no DIY rotating to be had.
