Which is ridiculous given there would be no actual problem running that profile...just that fact that the overall diameter is probably going to end up greater than factory.. Is it coz the extra width actually makes the tyre taller?Yep - remember that the profile number is a ratio against the width, so as the tyre gets wider, the actual "height" of the profile gets bigger even though the number (40 etc) stays the same.PS nah I feel bad about taking Ralph's time (even though I do pay him), I hate giving up my precious personal free time as well so I know the feeling. He's a busy family man and undercover hoon! Would rather see him out on cruises more Oh and yeah Rab I run staggered F6 18" stockies, so no DIY rotating to be had.
