Oh yeah, sweet. So what size block/house/features?

I'm really hoping the estate I'm looking to build in will have NBN...I've been told it will, but it's not on the website or anything saying it specifically. The sales consultant from Homestart called the guy running the estate to confirm, and apparently it is...so it bloody better!

Hopefully its not to the node, if they were already constructing it before the liberal takeover youre fine if not though it caps at 25mbps...zzzz

Defeintly the best thing about new estates though!

It's a brand new estate, I.e. This is the first release...hmm, that'll suck! Still a crap load faster than my current ADSL 2+ that gets all of like 9mbps if I'm lucky...

Oh yeah exactly, its still leaps and bounds better than whats unaimously available currently. Only shame is that the fibre optic network was ultimately gonna be capable of up to 1GBPS which is what googles rolling out in the usa at the moment where as were stuck in the digital stone age :(

Australia's internet is comparably third world.

Most Australian hotels still charge for inhouse internet, usually through a third party at exorbitant rates.

Travel to any other industrialized nation and its all free, free WiFi in most shops here in China and free unlimited Internet in our hotel.

Australia needs to lift its game quick time, we are fast becoming a technologically backward nation.

Have found here in China that we can still access Facebook and Google and not had any so called "bad" sites blocked.

Seems like the government here is relaxing its restrictions on content.

Not picking things, just interested.

How does this search show when in China now?
