haha they're just trolling :) they did it about Adelaide people at the show last night haha just ragging on the last show... they even said "glad all the good looking people came to the 2nd show" as we were the 2nd Melbourne show... clear banter

back on 22nd June we picked up this 8 month-old rescue dog, Zeke, an American Staffordshire Terrier, Bull Mastiff cross breed. He's an energetic thing and his training (via me watching and using advice from Zak George on YouTube, highly recommended) is coming along nicely :)

here he is the day we picked him up.

here he is last night after getting back from my outdoor workout with him along with me, a bit exhausted :)

This is my first pet as an adult and he's a fun loving thing :) Overly energetic is fine with me, but he does test your patience every now and then with his enthusiasm for life haha.

Got another dog :)  another rescue at ~10 weeks old. She'll be 14 weeks old tomorrow, from a place called "Starting Over Dog Rescue" who specialize in taking in accidental dog litters that the owners cannot handle.

Wanted a younger dog than Zeke when we got him (8 months old he was, he's now almost 4 years old) and this one was a very good opportunity for me to deal with the challenges of a puppy (and also all of the positives).

Her shelter name was "Martinique" but we didn't like that name so I named her "Waffle" after some suggestions that came through my mind were thrown about and this one stuck well :)  Here she is as a new member of our little family on the night we got her. You can see Zeke is pretty happy about it, too! She's a little furball of energy!

Here's all of her photo's from the shelter listing that I made a collage out of. She's supposedly a mix of Shar Pei, English Staffordshire Terrier and Bulldog... you can see the Shar Pei in the daggy faces of her litter in the below photo so that's likely... waiting on a DNA test which was sent to me from the US to go back to the US to get processed so I'll know for sure what her breed(s) are. I can't say publicly what Zeke's breed actually is... apparently he would be considered a "dangerous breed" and if he ever bit or got bitten by another dog via some sort of bad reaction or a fight he would be put down, so no thanks for that...

She does love to cause trouble as much as puppies like to. Her first day at home by herself (with her brother) yesterday had this effect (a catalogue that came with her puppy food on details on how to survive a puppy got torn to shreds as you can see haha)

But of course she also loves to cuddle with all humans and dogs alike:

Things are  definitely on the up and I'll probably be posting in the drunk tank later on tonight 🤣

Settlement just went through for our home of 26 years.

It's been a rollercoaster ride over the last 4 months since we employed our realestate agent

It took 3 months to sell but we got more than expected.

It's only the second house we have ever sold so we are novices as far as realestate is concerned.

So now its farm life, a bit of a slowing of pace.

There's plenty of work to be done, but that was the whole idea, early retirement but remaining physically active.
