So my hobby for the last few years is planning. Crazy girl thing with stationery etc... get a lot of stuff from the US... and I use and have thousands of stickers... it makes me calm and gives me a break from reality as well as organised me. I have several planners, work, personal and memory keeping and this year went with a sticker hourly layout but decided I wanted something to doodle my stuff in on the fly and not have to worry about how it looks so much... pretty happy with how it’s turning out getting back into lettering etc. I know guys won’t get this but it’s just my thing... jet thinks I’m nuts lol

Had an all too rare day off yesterday and did a quick snow trip with some friends... was great, first time in prob 12 years

First time on a board, I sucked less than expected surprisingly. For me it seems way more natural than skiing somehow, watching a few youtube vids earlier definitely helped a bit.

First time for kids at the snow on the other hand..... farrrrgggg. Our friends have 2 of their own, so 4x 2-5 year olds who kept pulling gloves off, trying to go on the chairlift, running away, complaining about the cold, fighting each other, throwing tantrums when you're lugging a tonne of gear around...

All good in the end but a few things I'd do different next time.

Drive home was pretty fun. Once we got to Adaminaby, Waze took us via Bobeyan Rd rather than Snowy Mountains Hwy thru Cooma; (@El Andrew you probably know this road?) 80+km to Queanbeyan of which I reckon 40-50km turned out to be dirt road lol

Mate was leading in his father in law's 100 series cruiser and he was into it, in the main the road is good nick and we were hitting pretty decent pace, 130+ in some places. This was just before dusk mind you, before long there were plenty of roos lining up for suicide missions. The Discovery did well, but yeh the wife was getting pretty carsick by the end of it..

Now I wish I had a dash cam...

Edit

*For a dirt road...

Yep - I know that road. First bit is fantastic then the dirt is a pain. I came back from the first Snowys cruise I did that way, not knowing about the dirt. Fantastic camping through there. The bitumen at the other end where you get closer to Canberra is good too, and only about 15 mins from my place. Is fun to take the car through there and turn around when the dirt starts.

Car made the 450km trip to Adelaide and survived, always paranoid something will go wrong with it haha 12.5lt per 100kms

All new suspension, it handles like a dream, especially in the hills and having it on 22psi there's no worries overtaking.85275f4623511156a973b0824c1dd03f.jpg
