Kayo is excellent, with a few small liveable hiccups, since I've had it (about 6th December), as I only ever had Foxtel for sport and I don't have access to FGo anymore since being forced to move home

The only major possible downfall of Kayo is that it'll be potentially be near-impossible to record full weekends of V8SC like I did with with a "box" subscription... we'll see how much I miss it soon enough.

You could, but the stream tends to have a habit of dying when you least expect it and it's sometimes due to the flakiness of the internet here at my GF's house and sometimes due to the streams Kayo actually provides.

e.g. the stream is really easy to make work all day with a tiny bit of human intervention, but without that human intervention you could miss hours of the day...

Don't worry, I'll be looking into doing it somehow via the direct stream link, if it bothers me.

Either way, $25 per month instead of $70 per month is a win in my books, without factoring in the major benefits Kayo has over Foxtel+Sports+HD, in terms of VOD viewability, controls etc.

Is Kayo the new one?

Looks great - will see how much Foxtel provide in 4K this year - if it's hit and miss I may as well stream for cheaper.

yeah, Kayo is the new thing that's wholly owned by Foxtel's owning corporation, so don't expect it to stay super cheap or be perfect or great for a long period of time, but I've been using it a lot for the cricket and basketball that they're streaming and it's quite good. Essentially all of the stuff from Fox Sports channels is available as a "linear" viewing experience, plus most of it VoD based on the specific sports you want to watch.

Nice.

Have finally got NBN this week so can say goodbye to Optus.

If Foxtel didn't bring out the 4K and if they dont deliver on it I'll kick them too

Well, Foxtel content at 4K will be limited, so I doubt you'll see a lot of it to start with, but from what I see if Kayo, there's no sign on the horizon of 4K. So if you're in it for 4K specifically, you should stick with the IQ4.

either way, you can trial Kayo for two weeks for free, so you can try it out yourself over a few weeks/weekends of specific sports that you want to watch to see how it goes.
