I REALLY wanted either an ED or EL XR6 for my first car...but parentals wouldn't let me have a 6 cylinder for my first car...so I ended up with a farking Mondeo instead. Admittedly, it took a bloody beating! Flogged the piss out of it literally everywhere and it lasted me like 4 years. I can vouch that it did 200kph...several times, ripped mean reverse "max doughies in the gravel" and loved handbrakies.

BUT I still wanted an EL XR. Would still kinda like one as a project car (also a supra, coz fast and furious and tututututu), throw a turbo motor in one just for funsies...but I'm pretty non skilled with the mechanicals, so would be too expensive.

Yeah I'm a fan of them.  Sleek shape.  Red stripe is a bit in your face, but it's how they did it back then.  Commos from the era have the same thing IIRC.  It works somehow, probably because I saw them around when I was growing up.  Straya!

I just brought my own car unbeknown to my mum till I got home with it. 76 Cortina, XE Block, pacemaker extractors, 750 DP Hollie, redline manifold, blue printed and decked, 4 on the floor & stripped interior with half cage!! That was fun times :) wish I never sold it now :(

Told her it was stock! She didn't believe me... And the best part was the number plates, RIP773, she hated that the most! Haha
