Up to $20,000 you can do a day, she checks and I'm at the default of $5,000, so I get her to change it and transfer the $15,000 for the home loan deposit into my ING account. Considering I only received 0.04 cents back in interest last financial year - I'm not kidding either, so much for a "savings" account - I thought I might as well transfer it to the ING account and earn 2.75% calculated daily. Banks rip you off in so many ways. So now I just need to save up some more as a buffer to cover council rates, connection fees and extra for things I haven't even though about yet. I'm thinking $5K should cover all the bases and what I don't use, I'll keep for a rainy day, such as alternator going, emergency dental, you know, the stuff you never think about until it happens.
