Moderating Team 10,981 Member For: 11y 9m 29d Gender: Male Location: Frankston, 3199 Posted 16/01/16 10:36 AM Share Posted 16/01/16 10:36 AM Mate called me up last night - he had a hacker in his computer and needed it fixed.He's already lost $16k due to it (getting a chargeback from the bank??)Went round this arvo to get to the bottom of it.His email account had been compromised (very, very weak password) and someone in China had set it to forward all emails to their own account.They'd edit the purchase invoices he was getting with their bank details , delete the original and send him the altered one with their own bank details for payment.Sorted it out for him - deleted the email forwarding and changed his password to something a 3 year old wouldn't be able to guess.Anyway - after sorting him out...."Want to go for a fly?" Moderating Team 10,981 Member For: 11y 9m 29d Gender: Male Location: Frankston, 3199 Posted 16/01/16 11:04 AM Share Posted 16/01/16 11:04 AM (edited) Actually - has been a great weekendCaught up with a mate I haven't seen in over 20 years last weekend.Mentioned he likes hunting, but has no one to go with.Have got another mate from the same time I'd kept in contact with (all 3 of us worked at a supermarket together in the early 90's) and I know he's a member of the local Clay Target shooting club and goes deer hunting when he gets the chance.Anyway - called the other mate during the week and the 3 of us headed off to the local club Friday evening for some shooting at the clay targets (ok - pink plastic ones)I was in the beginners range (mate stayed with me to keep me company, while the other mate went to the members area and went through his couple of boxes of shells while we spent our 20)Was my first time shooting a shotgun (ended up about 50/50 hit/miss) which I was quite happy with.Was great to get the old team back together too - hopefully we'll be catching up more regularly and he's found someone to go hunting with.So... gun licence and pilots licence - going to be an expensive weekend in the long run lol Edited 16/01/16 11:05 AM by Rab 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
