I've got almost the entire amount in my savings ready to pay off the credit card balance, so by the time I get paid on the 15th of this month I'll have enough to pay off the credit card balance in full and a few grand savings but NO DEBT AT ALL!!! Not to mention that means I can let my employer know I don't have HECS anymore, so it'll feel like getting a payrise too, bonus!I did also get a 1% payrise yesterday...definitely not a NHASP payrise, but it's better than a kick in the teeth I guess. Essentially I'll now have an extra $1,100 savings per month towards a house deposit. So by the time my lease is up in Feb I should easily be able to buy my own place if my current housemates decide to move on.
