The one I was being quoted for did, hence why it was so expensive I think

Some insurers won't insure British Bulldogs at all ,... The soul reason I was ok with paying the amount because the breeder is amazing and gives a 2 year guarantee on genetic stuff

So if she has anything genetic (which most genetic stuff they do know in the first few years eg hip issues or eye issues and breathing issues which are the big ones in Bulldogs will show almost straight away.

Lilly is bred from two champions who have never been to the vet other than for sperm collection and vaccinations

If they breed them right they never have issues, also a lot of vets aren't familiar with British Bulldogs

Our breeder had a pup she sold to someone and they took the dog to the vet because of breathing noises ..

The vet insisted on cutting open the dogs pallet and "fixing" sh*t

Well Bulldogs heads don't fully develop til they're like 2... Which means they go through phases of making wired breathing noises especially when they sleep... (They snore anyway lol...

Some vets don't know about certain breeds

I don't have any insurance for my dog and it does get expensive . It's given the car mods fund a bit of a hit over the past few years.

Hip replacement $6000

Cruciate ligament in her knee $4000

twisted bowel $3500.

As well as about 4weeks off work to look after her while she recoverd.

It's worth it though , she's part of the family.

Taking my son to see the helitacs taking off and landing. Watching an almost two year old wrap his head around seeing how big they are on the ground compared to seeing them in the sky was fun to watch.

Cleaned the accursed bore water spots off the car and now about to take it for a spin :)

No rattle at start up now either after a successful visit to the mechanic. Woohoo

I was gonna go on a cruise with a local car club tonight..

Drove right past the meeting spot, bounced through maccas drive through, picked up a couple cheeseburgers and a sundae..

Now home watching TV..
