Haha I know.. The only thing that I liked was the fact that if it breaks I can take it in and swap it over no questions asked.. And surprisingly I've had a few HDMI cables (or the connectors) break over the years..

Went to open the office thismorning and the bug sprayers are there - need to stay away for a few hours.

Sweet - divert the phones to my mobile and back home for some forum surfing it is (via maccas for the brekkie wrap).

So.. What made me feel good?

Learning today that my driving ability has come a freaking long way from when I first got my license 12 years ago..

While driving along a rural dual highway today in a 90 safety zone (two lanes same direction with trees in between the two carriageways) heading out to a semi remote cafe for cake and coffee for afternoon tea. I was in the left lane and I moved into the right hand lane with cruise control set while going around a right hand corner to pass a slower vehicle.

I got greeted by every drivers worst nightmare while I was side long the vehicle I was passing.. A vehicle travelling the wrong direction down the road in my lane.. Given the curve of the road I didn't have a very big gap to react and I left the road doing the better part of 90kmh with wife and bub on board..

No apparent damage to the wife's car but I wished I was in my work rig as it has a dash cam, took a few pretty heavy knocks to the undercarriage so it'll still get checked out on Monday..

Second surprise was how calm I reacted and went to check on the lady who had been coming the wrong way.. She was f*cking drunk and crazy.. Could smell the stink of alcohol through the car window.. Wife called the police while I tried to calm this crazy bitch down..

Apparently she hates it how when she leaves her street she has to turn left and drive to a U turn facility 400m down the road.. So she went right and was going to cross at the intersection I'd just gone past.. f*ck me!

After the police arrived talked it through with them got back into our car to leave and it kinda hit me.. Started shaking like crazy.. That was a very cautious drive home..

Feels great to be alive and to know that 12 years ago I probably wouldn't of been able to control a car on that slope at that speed and either would have met that lady front on or collected a tree in between the roads..

SDP I'm glad you and your family got out of that one OK , you must have sh#t yourself especially with the baby in the car

Some people just need to be locked up for doing stupid stuff like that , she didn't want to drive 400 metres to do a U turn

But it's ok to risk three peoples lives. That's just crazy
