Checked all 6 injector harness plugs to make sure they're clipped on correctly & not missing the locking clip pin? I had one just sitting on injector and not clipped on recently.. It can cause the 5 cylinder issue

I picked up a MK2 last week and its first tank of fuel was 98 and I managed to get it to backfire, after 250kms on the clock.

I could also get my old G6E to backfire when running 98 octane without it being tuned.

all good now guys I sent my car into rdp the following monday to get some work done and once it was retuned it drives like a dream and hasnt skipped a beat since

if you guys are having the same symptoms as me I guess its worth looking at your injectors maybe? cause I had a quiet flutter noise on idle (as described above)

and since swapping them with 60lbs I havent had this issue any more, not saying that was the problem could be the way its tuned....
