If so have u been happy with this or moved up to the full 6/4 setup. Also is the standard fpv rear brakes the same as the bf xr6t caliper? Thanks for responses in advance Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81395-brembo-4-pot-upgrade/ Share on other sites

I was considering upgrading my GT to the 6/4 setup but for what I'm using my car for (spirited street use) the current setup is proving quite capable. The FPV rear brakes are diffferent to the rear XR. Larger caliper and rotor.Benny. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81395-brembo-4-pot-upgrade/#findComment-1278117 Share on other sites

LolI could be wrong but I've been looking into it a bit on the web this morning and found that gt/typhoon and bf can all use rda505 which are 303mm diameter so can anyone confirm with different sizes or something that the discs are different? Also if the caliper is different how so? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/81395-brembo-4-pot-upgrade/#findComment-1278156 Share on other sites

The car was scary under hard braking before and felt very unbalanced front to rear, not so with the 4potters. I will say they can be quite graby when cold depending on your pad choice. Use standard Brembo pads for street.Have used SBS Dual Carbon Race pads with them, Endless PC35 Race pads, and now Project Mu H16 03 Race Only pads.Have destroyed 2 lots of DBA4000 slotted 355mm rotors and onto a 2nd set of 5000's with T3's. Calipers still fine and I recommend them considering what they have gone through on my car which has also done 175,000kms too!Dust seals burnt off but brakes still work fine. I also have the rear Territory upgrade with bigger PBR single piston rears and ventilated 328mm rotors.I cut slots in the front of the front wheel arch to aid cooling and both foglights are removed.Make sure your wheels clear them.http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11310061I recommend fresh AP Racing DOT 5.1 for street and track.
