If you have proof that you were not infringing upon any laws (in this case to be unregistered the payment would have not been made if you were to actually be infringing upon this, as you can put the registration sticker straight onto the vehicle as soon as you make the payment) then of course you will be let off on the infringement you've been served if you can provide that proof to the people who are actually serving the infringement.

I checked the options you can pay on line. I'm assuming it's BPAY. But as the hand written ticket didn't have a demerit point on there I wanted to find out. Also wanted to know where I was in relation to demerit points.

Interesting to note the f*ckers got me from 182 m away.

Demerit points should be able to be found on the RTA/VicRoads equivalent in QLD's website listed against the relevant offence.

I don't know about other states, but I know you can ring VicRoads and they have an IVR option to check your demerit point status 24/7 without having to speak to anybody.

My worst was coasting through a 60 sign turning off cruise control just before it.. Got done at 72kmh from 342m away..

Tried to contest it based on the sheer distance I was away that the cop couldn't tell what side of the speed sign I was on.. Didn't work..

The worst thing is that it was a school zone. Had my youngest daughter on board. Brakes and discussed school zone policies and procedures with her. I must have released my brakes and speed crept up as it's all down hill.

Can only blame myself.

Gave the old girl a list of ingredients to cook up some lamb for dinner (slow cooker - chuck on at midday, dinner ready tonight)

Comes back with rogan josh paste instead of sauce - hopefully my improvising works.
