It's a bit like ATMs. We were told they were the future. Would save customers money.

So they shut branches, sacked staff.

Now we pay $2 to use them.

Personally I like self service for small to medium shops. But surely there must be registrars open for those that require.

I should mention that I dislike the self serve that also weigh the item you are buying. Big w, Kmart, Coles etc.

Good luck trying to buy a packet of gum or birthday card.

Best thing woollies did was turn the scales off.

I know that woolies and big w have a company policy that as a minimum there is at least one checkout operator open at all times! Even with skeleton staff one has to stay open! So if its one of them is ask to have a checkout opened

Easy, press you don't want a bag and no need to put it in the bagging area. I dunno why they have self serve checkouts in bunnings, it makes you wait for assistance with anything you get

Wpmo.

My boss is still trying to call me, I have 20 missed callers a night from him and work and that's only my mobile. Nobody answered the house phone. Now my sister is draining my life because he keeps messaging her to get me to call him

Self service is great if there's no poor old bastards in front of you that can't figure out the process of placing things in the bagging area after they are scanned. :pinch:

Self service is also cool when you are whipped by ya missus, and been sent down the shops to buy those awkward lady plugs/sponges or raincoats.....

Have you considered ringing him and telling him to go have relations with a boot?

Just stare em hard in the eyes as they scan em up.

"So sir just the packet of condoms, cucumber and drum of olive oil is it?"

"Sure is, lady."

"Have a nice day, sir."

*smile severely*

"That's the plan!"
