Nup... id be sending her to a safe drive school before hand and telling her to contribute $ if she wants a car. Loads of people study and work. Even if it's only putting in a small part.
Busses and trained exist and plenty of uni students use them daily.

Haha k31th they do have other alternatives than giant eagles. :stirthepot:

I can see the reasons for buying the more expensive car. I did the same for my wife, although it wasn't terribly expensive (5 figures), it still has 11 airbags or something like that.

I still think that easy come is easy go. I've seen it over and over.

Obviously this doesn't pertain to everyone.

My kids will still be earning theirs though.

I hear you Puff, but as I mentioned she is working, just trying to keep the student loan under control.

I'd rather keep her alive till she can afford to buy her own car.

Life will teach her the financial lessons we all eventually learn, but for now walking 3 hours to uni ( no busses or trains ) isnt an option.

The road between her home and uni is the deadliest piece of road in the country so a old sh1tter isnt worth the risk for me.

That's fair enough mate.

You gotta make the best decision you can and it sounds like you have it under control.

Just don't forget to remind her in 30 years lol.

Yeah for sure

She's a good bus... has got us through the worst storm going from Lincoln to ceduna. We couldn't see infront at all... 16kms an hour average speed on a 110kmhr road. Was so bad... only suffered a windscreen chip that's it.

It's the second one I've had. Love it.

Only way I'd upgrade is if we could get the merc 7 seater for like half price hahah
