aw but I love crawling around inside roof spaces!

and when you work in your airconditioned garage with the airconditioning turned off im sure you reminisce in the memory of all the roof spaces you've crawled through.

Looks like 4mm and that is typical of a loose connection.. Exactly what I expected to see.

Not a chance, as I said cable is the best way us sparkies charge up

that call out is dirt cheap for a PH

anytime ive gone for a call out on a regular mid week job its a minimum $500 bill before I get out the car, add a PH you can double it ;)

mind you if it was our fhuck up no way in hell would we try and charge a thing as that's just bad form

Yeah I suppose never had a sparky's bill before to compare it to. Just seemed like a massive crank up of the quote for time it would take to do the job. Plus minimum amount of cable considering it was just a fix up not a rewire.

At the end of the day it is a profession that you can quiet easily get zapped and killed in. So with risk comes $$$.

Do you have the aircon back on Pixy?

I hope so, summer aint no fun without any aircon.

on a side note, my aircon stopped in my car one day last week, 33 degree day.

drove around town with the windows down but still ended up feeling hot and dehydrated.

got home, cleaned the battery terminals and viola, aircon back.

stupid car.

only car Iv'e owned that is so sensitive to "slightly" dirty batt terminals

they didn't look dirty, just dull.

Did you tell em they'd better send the faulty part back to manufacturer so they can investigate the cause so it doesn't happen to anyone else?:pandalol::stirthepot:

AMPere is a measurement of current (SI unit=A) . It cant fail, what has failed is the circuit breaker, likely due to it not being tightened sufficiently.  4mm and 32A would be correct for whole house system. Many many kW / Hp is your unit.
