That sucks, you don't seem to be treated fairly.

But I heard women go a little crazy during pregnancy.....

Anyway, hospitals scare me! A lot of people don't have an issue but then a hospital does things like give baby laughing gas instead of oxygen, killing them.

I think the midwife is pulling ya leg. You clearly aren't too heavy for one hospital or the other.

If you aren't high risk then they will send you to the one they are sending you to. You mustn't be high risk at this time. Like Ralph said it's about risk assessment.

My wife was swapped the opposite way this time cos she is high risk.

We had our son in the city and our daughter in the northern one and despite the screaming bogans in the general area of the hospital the maternity ward was nice.

Apparently the last 12 months this bmi rule has been heavily enforced... im guessing some sh*t happened and some fat kkkunt complained or some crap and now they are over doing the rule book.

Firstly I was over the bmi in question when I fell pregnant so they should have told me straight away this was going to happen.
Secondly im not even on or over the limit... they just assume I will be too close to it or on it when im full term apparently

I find it so bullsh*t that some fatty eating maccas has a lower bmi than me but instead of actually doing a health assessment or taking into accout im 100% fit and healthy and able to walk 5kms still and no bp or any health issues I am lumped in that category.

I have to have a csection birth anyways
that's why im so annoyed.

I had skin to skin with hudo and he mever left me as the smaller hospital respected my wishes and I got to request it.
When u have a scheduled section, dye to not going into labour your body doesnt relsease the hormone that makes your milk come in. Hence skin to skin immediately and for a few hours helps the process and I fed huds for a year not a single issue.

Apparently this hospital doesnt offer it as a standard and I likely wont be able to request anything about my surgery let alone that.

We shal see... I have the booking apt Thursday (where I have to go over everything once again!!! Fml)

And of course jet being jet has nfi why im annoyed lol

Hahaha anyone who actually knows me will tell u im the closest thing to a bloke and not very hormonal, even when pregnant lol. For exmaple. I told jet what happened in the appt.. he didnt seem to give two sh*ts lol so I let him go work on cars lololol... no point in beating a dead drum. I guess its a mother thing worrying about how your baby comes into the world and all the little things.

Da fark does BMI have to do with anything. 1 its not a true representation of body mass. 2. The figures will be off because you have likely 3kg or more of a baby in you....

in saying that if they are anticipating you will be to big and cant cater for you then its prob a good reason to stay away from that hospital anyway in case of any complications that may arise, assuming this im guessing that because they are so small they prob dont have anaesthatists on site as a start little own ability if you need emergency ceaser.

that's the issue bahahha its a planned section in having anyways lol so I dont see the problem.

Bmi is a crock... at my lightest im mid way between overweight and obese... ive always been like that though... even as a kid I was small but weighed more... but I was always a state champ swimmer and into any sport. Plus im fairly short so it doesnt help my case.

But yeah I dont see how a bmi is measurable as they say the extra blood volume, baby, placenta, fluid all add up to roughly 5kg at this stage in my pregnancy anyways. So take that off and im way below the threshold.

Its all red tape crap coz I was the same weight at this point with my first and had 0 issues and it was never mentioned
