I'm not a fan of the French (some are very arrogant) but I love France for making a stand for their way of life. It's something we as Australians should take into very serious consideration when looking at our own way of life and how some minorities want to change it. Europe as a whole, is a soft target ever since there became border-less travel within the Euro zone. I agree with K31th's "terror target" video he posted above. MBAF, you may do well to have a read of this article https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jan/05/is-the-schengen-dream-of-europe-without-borders-becoming-a-thing-of-the-past Written at the beginning of 2016, it becomes more and more relevant as more Muslim terrorists kill and maim. The closing statement is something that would send a shiver down the spine of all who hold onto the hope of world peace, and something I had not even considered would happen in my lifetime. “If you close down the borders, Islamic State has won,” said Rainer Maring. “People are talking about this all the time. They’re a bit worried about all this politics. And one more thing. It might sound stupid and be hard to imagine, but war is still possible in Europe.” Not unqualified at all, ive worked with the french very closely. They are very willing to bow down instead of stand up and fight for what they believe or think. There is also alot of cultural miscommunication which also leads to disagreement and this has also been the trend since WW2 (in recession at the time) and many after. I would agree though they are very much arrogant.. As for the above it concerns me greatly as Australia is going much the same way, which makes it extremely hard for me given my situation. War is very much possible but there are greater threats, some of which are closer to your door and than you may think or believe and for obvious reasons I cant discuss them

The French are one of the very few country's that are standing up and fighting! Your statements seem somewhat clouded but I suppose its par for the course, 800 + posts in just over one month, 95% of them complete dribble!

Im not talking about 1 video, Im talking about overall but please carry on with your view and how you know so much more because of the "video keith posted" which means my statement is clouded. Come fight the war on the front door, kill innocent people, families, animals, get shot at, spend years away from your home with people such as the French and see if your view is the same...... I rekon 30% of the whole defence force in Australia would run away if we got attacked... going by the knob jockeys I know in the defence force anyway. and this is the internet so I must know everyone btw hahaha Edited 18/07/16 10:44 AM by Frederick

I'm not talking about people, it's France as a nation that is standing up to fight Maybe your head is not in the right place if you have experienced what you state above^. I would have thought it was the opposite if you really are a fly-boy. Impersonal killing from 50,000 feet BTW, I'm not trying to belittle someone who has served their country I still stand by my previous statement that: "your statements seem somewhat clouded" and most definitely the one about 95% of your posts being dribble

Its a proven fact that 9 times out of 10 a person will not shoot to kill. They only shoot in the direction of a target because they don't want to kill. In the ADF or not this is the reality.
