The last pad change I did had no problem with any leaks, didn't drain any fluid or anything so I haven't done that before.

Is the fluid leaking now just what was pushed out, and the rest is fine? Or will it keep coming because something has fked up?

new pads and discs are thicker than just pads hence move fluid displaced. remove the cap, let's the fluid dribble out refit the cap and wash it all off with water. it will fark your paint other wise

I had removed the cap from the reservoir when I did the change. Should I do it again?

Or do I just wash it all with water now and that's it? No more fluid will leak as the fluid there is just the stuff that was pushed out when I did the change?

Yeah, well, it wasn't really a mistake, all I had to do was wash it down with water. Wasn't aware of it pushing it out with bigger rotors since last time I did just pads it was fine, no spillage.

Lucky "mistake" that one, least it wasn't something life threatening
