That's sad and I do hope it doesn't happen to you somehow.

What's pissing me off? I know it is saturday but was quoted ridiculous money for a boost solenoid from titan ford in WA and asking for the part number to confirm that it is the right part (should be less than $100) the guy said "sorry we don't give out part numbers as it lets people shop around and yeah we don't do that".

I can't even confirm that it's the right part so no point driving down, theres only one good worker there and his name is joe, the guy I spoke to was a moron.

When I was pricing up the stuff the lowlifes nicked off the car, I found Covs. the best to deal with, maybe give them a ring on Monday?

They gave me all the part numbers I needed and had stock for most of it.

One of the kids knocked my laptop off the desk. Landed where the power connector plugs in. End of power cord snapped, case cracked and male pin inside power socket all loose. Not sure if it will charge or not as the power adapter is completely stuffed. da5fdb0dc674521c7abbd1b7a9e6f40a.jpg

Hope that didn't short out mate, had one (2 months old, $1000 laptop...) recently at the shop and because it had shorted something out the entire motherboard was toast.

If it hasn't killed the board it'll be about $150-200 to repair I estimate.

Thanks good to know. Boots up fine on battery so I think MB is fine. I reckon repair is worth a shot at that sort of price as it's a decent machine. If it was a $500 job I'd probably just cut my losses.
