Data techs are a trade now?????

hahaha, love the banter about the trades here

took two years of experience to get fully qualified, but some get their cert3 + other courses without much at all.

Anyway, if a lot of my work didn't involve remediation of f*ckups made by fully qualified electricians then I wouldn't need to be ranting!

If comms was really f*ck all, then why do some companies still employ dedicated comms guys when the electrical contractor has usually offered to do the comms for free/an absolute pittance?

Yeh how bout that, I got my open class registration within a two week course AFTER completing my A class license..... I'd love to see you get your A class within two weeks after finishing the "data wizard" license

there's reason data jockeys don't have to be licensed

Trades, always good to have one, two or three. Diplomas are good, degrees are better. The more of each you obtain the fatter your wallet gets.

Partly agree... but every person I know with the fattest wallets in adelaide (work assiciates mostly earning over a million) have none of these most of the time... but are just smart and innovative and happy to take calculated risks.
