Where we are right now has this abhorrent dark red and green and yellow swirly flower pattern crap. Can't see a redback even if it's crawling right across it unless you stare for a few seconds and happen to see it cross a yellow patch. White tips around here are the real problem though since they are a hunter and walk around :/ Had one appear on the blanket I'd just put on my knee the other night. Hit it hard enough to kill it but it took a few seconds to die and I spent 10 minutes looking for the corpse before I was able to semi calm down. I don't mind spiders, just not a fan of actual dangerous ones in the house or garden. Those I squish.
