I was actually chatting to someone so this is second hand information. BUt apparently the Human body function is suited to a maximum speed of 12km/h. Eyes, perception, brain, response is functioning at it's absolute best at speed up to 12km/h. Over that.. You be f*cked :P

Just had my car idling and sounds like the timing chain is hitting the sides of the timing cover. Cars only done 27000 and stock. Goes away the second it revs but once it settles the rattle eventually starts again. Sad face and vodka tonight me thinks.

flex plate could be loose sounds like loose timing chain rattles at idle goes away under load.

but eztv covenant.

ez was good for all the information that went with the torrents laid out in an easy to read format with detailed information about different series a single click away. And being able to check the calendar for up coming episodes.

It's a manual so no flexi haha. Thanks though. I started it to video the sound and it didn't do it so gonna be one of those stupid sounds that runs away every time you try and track it down haha.

ETTV on KAT- https://kat.cr/user/ettv/uploads/ downloads are generally faster if you have sh!t internet speeds and he has like 95% of the eztv downloads but is uploaded earlier. Either bookmark the page or the USER also for quick reference back to them.

I've got a torrentday account now thanks to my brother but tbh it isn't that good! If you know what you're doing (not an internet pleb) then KAT is perfect...

What pissed me off today is that I ran out of PVA glue when going to fit the last panel to my subwoofer box! I had to remove the glue that had been laid already....GRRR

EZTV is still working also? - https://eztv.ch/

The amount of crap thats not worth even downloading now in the way of TV series.

Hasnt been a show (new/current series) WORTH downloading since Saturday morning....and half of that was just to fill time.

It's probably one of the two pulleys - idle pulley at the top and tension pulley on the tension arm.

I replaced them both on one of my taxis last night. Easy to do.

Remove the cooling fan - a 10mm head bolt on each side. Unplug the power cable.

DO NOT FORGET TO PLUG THE POWER CABLE BACK IN LATER ON! (Everyone does that sooner or later - put a sticky note on the steering wheel if you have to.)

Use a ratchet with a 3/8 socket to rotate the tension arm enough to remove the belt from the top idle pulley. Either remember how the belt routes, take a photo or have a diagram for when you put it back on. Falcons used to have a diagram sticker on the bonnet but that stopped around BFII time. Look for part number BAF9C485A.

You can buy the genuine Ford pulleys - idle pulley part number is BA8A617A and tension pulley part number is BA6B209A. The idle pulley includes a new bolt (which you don't really need). The tension pulley also comes with the complete arm.

Or, you can buy the pulleys on their own using EF/EL part numbers (ie cheaper) - EF6T217A for the idle pulley and EF6B217A for the tension pulley.

Adelaide Parts sells them cheap on eBay. Or, spend $159.50 and replace the lot - idle pulley, tension pulley, tension arm and drive belt.

Thanks heaps for the info Phil. I put my thoughts together properly this arvo and checked it out. Turns out it's the power steer pump. Only does it once it gets hot and go lock to lock it quitens and comes back. And yes I checked fluid haha. I played with the pulley while the belt was off and it's crunchy but steering works perfect.
